A second mosquito in Franklin County tested positive for West Nile Virus, the Franklin County Board of Health announced on Wednesday.

According to the Franklin County Board of Health Web site, West Nile Virus mosquitoes were found in the city of Dublin.

The county was planning to fog for mosquitoes in Dublin beginning Wednesday at dusk.

Last week a pool of mosquitoes tested positive for West Nile Virus in Prairie Township, located in western Franklin County. That area was sprayed earlier this week.

Health officials suggest residents to wear inspect repellant containing DEET, limit outdoor activity at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active and to eliminate all standing water around the home.
