Two men accused of shooting police officers during a drug raid were ordered held without bond on Friday.

Derrick Foster, a former Ohio State football player, and Michael Gravely both faced two counts of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault, 10TV's Patrick Bell reported.

Foster, 38, told police that he was gambling at a home on Rich Street on Wednesday night when someone in the house yelled that they were being robbed.

According to police, Foster admitted that he pulled out a handgun and fired at the back door, Bell reported.

He told investigators that he did not know police officers were at the home to serve a search warrant.

Gravely, 19, has a criminal record involving weapons and drug offenses, Bell reported. Investigators said that he also fired shots at the officers.

Officers Anthony Garrison and John Gillis remained in serious condition at Grant Medical Center on Friday morning, detectives said in court.
