One of the female staffers who said she was sexually harassed by Gutierrez claimed that he
damaged his car after a night of drinking, 10 Investigates' Paul Aker reported.
Maintenance logs obtained by 10 Investigates showed Gutierrez appeared to have damaged his
car, but never reported it, Aker reported.
Attorney General Marc Dann on Wednesday requested that the Ohio State Highway Patrol
investigate the claims about the crash, and determine whether alcohol was a factor.
The development came a day after Columbus police announced that no criminal charges would be
filed as part of the investigation.
Cindy Stankoski, a former staffer in Dann’s office, filed a criminal complaint in the case
last Friday.
Stankoski, 26, said that after a night of drinking with Gutierrez, the office's general
services supervisor, she passed out in the bedroom of his Dublin condominium and awakened next to
him with her pants unbuttoned.
Police said they did not find evidence that criminal acts took place.
Gutierrez, along with Dann's communication chief, Leo Jennings, has been placed on
administrative leave pending an internal investigation.
A full report detailing the investigation's findings is expected to be released on May
2.
