An Ohio State graduate and Worthington native was one of two people who were killed in a
Thursday night crash on the city's north side.
Donald G. Howard, 29, was a sports anchor at WLIO-TV in Lima, Ohio, 10TV News reported.

The crash occurred at about 10:15 p.m. at Lazelle Road and Sable Crossing, according to
Investigators determined that a Toyota Camry, driven by Zachary D. Thompson, of Delaware, was
involved in a crash at Lazelle and Sancus roads. Officers pulled Thompson over after the
crash but then he drove away at a high rate of speed and crossed the center line, 10TV's Maureen
Thompson's vehicle then struck another car, driven by Rhonda J. Lamark, of Westerville.
Lamark, 58, also died, police said.
Howard was a passenger in Thompson's car, 10TV News reported.
Thompson, 28, was the only survivor. According to court records, police smelled alcohol on
his breath and he admitted to officers that "he had consumed four or five beers."
Police charged him with two counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.
