Charles McCoy Junior was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. His first trial ended in a hung jury in May 2005. In a second trial, McCoy accepted a plea deal and pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including involuntary manslaughter and eight counts of attempted murder. He was sentenced to 27 years in prison. After his sentencing, McCoy told investigators that voices told him to shoot at vehicles, but he didn't mean to hurt anyone. Charles McCoy Junior has 19 more years left in prison.
