Steve Maguire has been at 10TV since 2003 after stops in Washington, D.C. at ABC News, CONUS Communications, and stations in Phoenix, Albuquerque, Savannah, Ga., and Dayton.
Maguire said the favorite part of his job is telling the stories about the people he's met and the places where he's been.
"Finding a way to give the viewer a true sense of a given experience in a compelling story keeps me on my toes," Maguire said. "I love being active and loathe boredom, so going everywhere and seeing everything is the best way to make a living that I can think of."
Maguire, a Philadelphia native, graduated from Wright State University. He said he finds it impossible to single out one story as a favorite but said any time he has made a difference and helped people, he figures that's a "darn fine story."
An active scuba diver, Maguire loves traveling anyplace that is warm and has clear water so he can see the marine life. In 2006, he was selected as a member of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Volunteer Dive Team which gives feeding exhibitions for zoo visitors.
Maguire also sings in a local rock and roll cover band. He enjoys still photography in his spare time and spends time with Buddy, an 80-pound yellow lab who keeps him centered and grounded.
