We were busy last night and this morning tracking showers and storms in the Doppler 10 weather center. Severe storms produced gusty winds and heavy rain overnight. Rainfall totals through 8:00 a.m. generally ranged from .50-1.50 inches. Going into today, Port Columbus reported 1.54" for the month of September. The airport picked up another .53" through 8:00 a.m., leaving Port Columbus with more than 2 inches of rain this month. Going back to January 1st, the airport is still about 3.50" below average for yearly precipitation.
