Worthington Voters Approve Two School Issues

Worthington Schools officials said that voters approved two school issues on Election Day.

Issue 53, an incremental, permanent property tax, was approved by 54 percent of voters.

District officials said that the tax would be levied at 4.9 mills in 2013, 5.9 mills in 2014 and 6.9 mills in 2015 and in following years, according to ThisWeek News.

Issue 54, a $40 million bond to pay for new buses, technology improvements and repairs to district property over the next five years, was approved by 62 percent of voters.
