Work Begins To Repair Historic Lancaster Covered Bridge Damaged By Fire

Ohio University officials said work has started to repair a historic Lancaster covered bridge that was damaged by fire.

The historic John Bright Number 2 Bridge sits on the OU-Lancaster campus.  Arson damaged the floor of the bridge on January 15.

The damaged wood is now being removed, and it will take a month to complete the repairs.

The bridge is located along the Lancaster City Bike Trail and has been closed to the public since the fire.

No arrests have been made in the case.
