Woman Convicted On Multiple Drug Charges Found With Drugs When Booked Into Jail

A Utica woman was convicted of multiple drug charges in separate cases in Knox County.

According to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office, Mandy S. Overton was convicted of possession of heroin, aggravated possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs into the Knox County Jail.

Overton, 26, was sentenced to 24 months in jail after being found in possession of heroin and methamphetamine on Oct. 10 and Dec. 15, 2012.

She also had prescription drugs suboxone, alprazolam (Xanax) and methadone without having a prescription, according to the Knox County Prosecutor’s Office.

Overton was again arrested on March 8 on drug charges and was found in possession of methamphetamine and Xanax after being searched during booking at the jail.
