A woman faces a charge of attempting to convey illegal drugs into a correctional facility after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were tipped off to the plan.

According to the OSP, officials received a tip that Lesley Hernandez, 36, of Findlay, was planning to give drugs to an inmate at the London Correctional Institution.

Hernandez had a scheduled visit on May 9 at 2:45 p.m. with the inmate.

Surveillance was conducted by troopers and members of the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. Investigators said they saw Hernandez pass the drugs to the inmate.
