An area of low pressure will be working across the region this weekend. Warm air ahead of the system will allow an early wintry mix to change to rain showers for the afternoon. Minor snow and ice accumulation will be possible this morning before the changeover to rain takes place. It won’t be a complete washout today, but scattered rain showers will be possible in the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s.
Rain will be likely overnight and could change back to a mix and light snow late tonight/Sunday morning as a cold front brings colder air back to central Ohio. Minor snow accumulation will be possible early Sunday followed by decreasing clouds. Sunday’s highs will be in the low 30s. We’ll likely stay dry Monday before another chance for snow and rain returns Tuesday into Wednesday.
Alerts: WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY until 10:00 a.m. for Marion, Morrow, Knox, Crawford, Wyandot and Richland counties.
Inconvenient Weather: A wintry mix will be possible this morning followed by rain showers.
Planning Your Day: Plan on a wintry mix changing to rain this morning, mainly north of Columbus. Another round of scattered rain showers will develop this afternoon and evening. Highs will be unseasonably mild in the mid to upper 40s. Low 50s will be possible south of Columbus.
