A storm that dumped up to 15 inches of snow on parts of Colorado and Kansas is making its way east.

Winter storm warnings and advisories have been issued for today and tomorrow as far east as Pennsylvania.

Forecasters expect the storm to reach Indiana by tonight, bringing 6 to 10 inches of snow, then move into Ohio and Pennsylvania. It could leave 1 to 3 inches in southern New York and New Jersey before it moves off the coast tomorrow night.

The National Weather Service says parts of Colorado and Kansas saw 10 to 15 inches of snow yesterday, while southwestern Nebraska had up to 7 inches. But winds gusting at speeds of up to 45 mph created snow drifts of 2 to 3 feet in the three states.

The storm dumped 7 to 9 inches of snow from eastern Kansas into central Missouri before tapering off this morning.
