WBNS-10TV, 10TV.com Judged Best Among Ohio TV Stations By AP

10TV.com was awarded the best Web site among large television markets in Ohio at the Associated Press Broadcaster's annual radio and TV awards luncheon on Sunday.

WBNS-10TV was awarded for Best Breaking News Coverage, for its coverage of a natural gas line explosion that took place on Nov. 16, 2011, near the Athens-Morgan county line.

10TV producer Michael Gant was awarded the Best Producer in Ohio.

Reporter Chuck Strickler and photographer Scott Doelling were awarded second-place for Best Feature Reporting.

WBNS-10TV also picked up a regional Edward R. Murrow award for its one-hour special, "Saving Sarah: The Knox County Tragedy One Year Later," which recounted the tragedy that rocked a central Ohio community in November 2010. The special was voted best large market "Video News Documentary" in a region that includes all television stations in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois.
