COLUMBUS, Ohio- The United Way of Central Ohio is announcing the results of its annual fund raising campaign.
This year's drive to create pathways out of poverty raised $51.2 million, according to organization officials.
That's a 2.4-percent increase in community giving compared to the 2011 campaign total.
As part of its annual Celebration of Excellence, the United Way recognized American Electric Power and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers - Local 1466 with its Corporate Award of Excellence.
