Troopers Seize Meth, Cocaine From Vehicle During Hocking County Traffic Stop


Both the driver and the passenger of a vehicle driving along U.S. Route 33 face charges.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers stopped a 2005 Lexus for speeding and a turn-signal violation along U.S. Route 33 near milepost 16 in Hocking County at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 3.

A drug-sniffing K9 alerted officials, and troopers discovered 2.6 ounces of cocaine, 2 grams of meth and 23 Vicodin pills in the pants pocket of Henry S. Lutton, 41.

Lutton, of Columbus, was charged with felony possession of cocaine and felony possession of meth.

The driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Charles T. Owens Jr., was charged with drunken-driving.
