Traffic Restrictions Remain Along Northbound S.R. 3 After Wires Fall

Though cars are clear for the drive, large trucks and school buses were not able to ride along state Route. 3, north of Maxtown Road Tuesday morning.

Power lines fell along S.R. 3, just north of Maxtown Road and just south of the Mount Royal intersection around 4 p.m. Monday. Police said an oversized load brought down the wires.

Crews removed the lines from the road but said they remained just low enough that tall vehicles could snag them.

It was not known when motorists would have full access to the road.
