A Moderate Risk of severe thunderstorms is in the forecast tonight with a potential for widespread wind damage as well as heavy rainfall. There is also a threat of large hail and even isolated tornadoes. The greatest threat for severe storms will likely be north of I-70, however isolated severe storms will be possible all across central Ohio. Rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches will also be possible overnight and a Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the northern part of central Ohio. Storms will move through by Thursday morning with improving conditions by late afternoon. Friday and the start of the weekend will be dry and pleasant.
Inconvenient Weather: Severe thunderstorms are likely tonight and may produce widespread damaging winds, large hail, and a chance for isolated tornadoes. Also, very heavy rainfall will be possible which could lead to flash flooding. The threat will diminish by mid-morning Thursday. Everyone should stay weather alert through the night.
