We are monitoring a powerful cold front that will approach the area towards midnight. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of the front and could be severe between 9PM and 1AM. These storms may produce damaging winds and a few isolated tornadoes especially across Southern Ohio. Winds with the front will gust between 40-50 mph even without thunderstorms. Any storms could increase wind speeds above 60 mph. In addition…. Heavy rain combined with melting snow could result in flooding. WIND ADVISORY and FLODD WATCHES and WARNINGS have been issued. Additional WATCHES and WARNINGS could be issued later tonight for severe weather.
