Thousands Pack Downtown Columbus For 2014 Pride Parade
Thousands of people packed High Street Saturday for a chance to get a glimpse of the 150 floats in the 2014 Pride Parade.
Actor and activist George Takei served as the grand marshal.
People watching the parade said seeing him was a big highlight, but also seeing the support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
"Just seeing all the people, having a good time," said David Ellison. "Diversity, being themselves without having to hide."
500 volunteers helped coordinate the parade and the festival which ends 8 p.m. Saturday.
