Thousands Call For Help On The Roads During Deep Freeze

The recent bitter cold temperatures have led to a dramatic increase in the number of dead batteries, flat tires and lock-outs.

AAA says all these cold-weather car problems have kept their mechanics busy this month.

The auto club's automotive experts say call volume has more than tripled in January.

Randy Kelsey-Knapp, a AAA mechanic, says he's been out on Columbus streets giving people a hand.

Kelsey-Knap says they try to get to everyone as quickly as possible. Calls are prioritized base on service levels and they try to get to people who are in unsafe areas first.
