Dublin police are asking for help locating one of the 18 golf ball sculptures on display in Dublin for the Presidents Cup.

Police said that the ball, located at Dublin Road and Memorial Drive, was reported missing on Monday.

It was a ball with the Memorial Tournament logo presented by Nationwide Insurance.

The ball was part of a temporary public art exhibit sponsored by the City of Dublin in honor of the Presidents Cup and the Memorial Tournament.

The exhibit, titled 18 Drives Through Dublin, were sold at $1,500 each.

The balls will remain on exhibit until June 2014.

The Memorial Tournament golf ball was valued at $2,500.

Because of the value of the statue, the theft is considered a felony crime.

Memorial Tournament officials are offering a grace period through midnight on Oct. 12 to return the ball and avoid charges.

Any information about the theft can be reported here or by calling 614-889-1112.
