Police were looking for an armed thief who targeted a north Columbus Grater's ice cream shop early Saturday morning.

The hold-up happened just before 1:00 a.m. on Bethel road, just east of Sawmill Road.

Police said the gunman forced an employee back inside the building as that employee was leaving, and demanded money.

After receiving the money, police said the suspect then tied the employee to a shelf and assaulted him before taking off.

The suspect was wearing a mask and black hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the Columbus Police Robbery Unit at 614-645-4665.
