Teenagers Arrested After High Speed Chase

Two teenagers were arrested after a high speed chase ended in downtown Columbus Friday morning.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said troopers were following a suspicious car on I-70 eastbound.

Troopers said the car had slowed down to 58 mph in a 70 mph zone. When they ran the license plate, troopers discovered the car was stolen and that's when the chase began, near Wilson Road.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said they alerted Columbus Police, and officers joined in on the chase.

Police said the car exited at Goodale Street, and eventually crashed into a pole on Vine and High Streets.

Officers said the teenage suspects took off on foot. The first suspect was quickly arrested by state troopers and police. The second suspect ran into the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

Troopers and Police started a manhunt in and around the Convention Center. Officers blocked off the entrances to two hotels that are connected to the Convention Center.

A short time later, troopers and police found the second suspect and arrested him.
