Teenagers Admit To Creating Ontario Purge Facebook Page

Ontario Police said two teenagers admitted to creating a Facebook page for a fake purge in Ontario.

In the movie "The Purge," and its sequel "The Purge: Anarchy," all crime is legal for 12 hours, every year, to "purge" the population of illegal behavior.

Ontario Police Chief Rodney Smith said his department was notified about the Ontario Purge page around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

His officers subpoenaed Facebook for the IP address of the original posting and they were able to trace it.

Chief Smith said his officers went to the address where they interviewed a 13 and 14 year old who admitted to creating the page.

Facebook has now taken the page down.

The prosecutor's office is now reviewing the case.
