Teen Sentenced For Juneteenth Festival Shooting

A 15-year-old is doing time in a juvenile justice facility for shooting a child during the Columbus Juneteenth festival this summer.

The shooting forced Columbus police to cancel the event at Franklin Park.

Lovauntea Mickens admitted to firing a shot that hit an 11-year-old boy in the leg.

Mickens got a four-year sentence, but he will be eligible for early release after one year.
