A 13-year-old girl says a man dressed in all black waited until she was alone and then approached her at a bus stop.

According to the girl’s mother, Debra Brown, said that the incident happened at Woodcrest and Myers road in southeast Columbus.

“He appeared all of a sudden,” Brown said. “It was like one second he was there and the next second he wasn’t.”

The Browns said that their daughter was waiting when all of a sudden she felt as though someone was watching her. She said that was when the girl looked over and saw a man standing next to her.

Brown said that her daughter pulled out her phone and called her.

“She said, ‘I’m going to move a little further down,’ and he did, too,” Brown said. “And then she said, ‘Oh my God, mom, he is raising up his shirt.’”

Brown said that she told her daughter to run across the street.

“I said, ‘What is he doing now?’ And she said, ‘He’s looking for a way to get across the street. He is waiting for the cars,’” Brown said. “I said ‘Are you sure?’ and she said ‘Here he comes, here he comes!’”

The 13-year-old girl made it home, and her father said that he now is spreading the word.

“I wanted the people in the community to know that this is going on and we need everyone to start looking out for each other,” Roy Brown said.

The Browns said that they would be keeping a closer eye on their little girl.
