Suspect Under Arrest After Man Shot In The Chest Multiple Times


Columbus Police said they have a suspect in custody after a man was shot in the chest multiple times in East Columbus.

It happened near Country Club Road and Dickens Drive just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Columbus firefighters said the 29-year-old was shot three times, including twice in the chest and once in the side.

Neighbors say they intially thought the gunshots were fireworks, but they soon discovered the victim slumped over the steering wheel of a car.

Police blocked the intersection of Country Club Road and Dickens Drive as officers investigated.
