A man who police say was trying to break into a home in Blacklick was shot and killed Wednesday night.

Columbus police were called to a home in Macandrews Way just after 7:00 p.m. on a report of a shooting.   When officers arrived, they found 24-year-old Nathaniel Easley lying in the middle of the road, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Police determined Easley was with two other men who were attempting to break into a home on Macandrews Way when an unknown person opened fire.

The other two suspects, 23-year-old Khomary Rand and Deshawn Lovejoy, 26, were both charged with murder due to their role in the crime.

The shooter has yet to be identified.
