Suspect Arrested After North Columbus Robbery

A suspect was taken into custody after a robbery in north Columbus.

Police say 19-year-old Amir A. Mohamud stole a laptop from 19-year-old Christopher Hackstedde.

This happened in the 200 block of East 13th Avenue just after midnight Thursday.

Police say the suspect tossed the laptop into a vehicle that was waiting at the back of the house.

The vehicle then drove off without Mohamud.

Police say that before officers arrested Mohamud, he assaulted the victim and bit him several times.

The vehicle that drove away has not been apprehended.
