Suspect Admits To Robbing Several Banks In Central Ohio

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office says a suspect has admitted to several central Ohio bank robberies.

Detectives were looking for the man who robbed a Key Bank on Georgesville Road on November 26.

After surveillance video was released, a tip led to the arrest of Allen Lee Douglas.

Douglas, 51, has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Kidnapping.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Douglas admitted to robbing the Key Bank. He also admitted to robbing a Pathways Financial Credit Union on Georgesville Road on November 19. Douglas said he had also robbed a Huntington Bank on West Broad Street twice, once on August 22 and again on November 8.

Douglas is being held in the Franklin County Jail and additional charges are pending.
