Sunbury Woman Charged After Allegedly Having Sex With Teen Who Was Staying With Her
A 38-year-old Sunbury woman has been indicted by a Delaware County Grand Jury for allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old boy.
Pam Fisher is accused of having sex with the juvenile who was in her care in 2012.
Delaware County Prosecuting Attorney Carol O'Brien said the Fisher abused her role as an authority figure on "multiple occasions."
The woman faces eight counts of sexual battery and eight counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
The 13-year-old boy was a friend of Fisher’s daughter, who was living in her home with the consent of his parents, according to O’Brien.
His mother reported the alleged sexual contact to authorities when she heard of it in September.
O’Brien said that these are serious crimes that should be seen no differently than if an adult male sexually abused a young girl.
“It still has the same impact,” O’Brien said. “They’re still children. They’re not adults. They’re not mature enough to understand what the relationship is. It has a lifelong impact on these children, boys, too. Not just girls.”
The victim was staying in Fisher's home from Aug.1 through Sept. 22 of 2012.
Her court arraignment has not yet been scheduled.
