Storms Knock Down Trees And Power Lines

Strong storms packing high winds knocked down trees and power lines in Newark on Tuesday.

A tree uprooted and fell on a car on Ruggland Terrace. The car owners were inside at the time.

"I feel sorry for the neighbors because their car's up underneath that tree," Eddie Robinson said. He lives across the street from the people whose car was damaged.

The tree took down power lines when it fell.

A tree snapped in half on Mount Vernon Road. It blocked a driveway and knocked down power lines.

Several roads flooded in Newark during the Tuesday's storms.
