The Ohio Board of Regents, the State Board of Education and the Ohio Department of Education have agreed on a plan to replace the Ohio Graduation Test with college and career readiness tests.

According to the ODE, a nationally standardized college readiness test and 10 end-of-course exams in English, math, science and social studies will replace the OGT.

The Ohio Board of Regents and the ODE were working to seek bids to find a provider for the new tests, according to the ODE.

The changes will take effect in the 2014-15 school year.
