Snowy Sunday For Central Ohio
Your Doppler 10 Forecast
This Morning: Wintry mix and snow. Minor additional accumulation possible.
This Afternoon: Mostly cloudy with flurries possible. Afternoon temperatures around 30.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with snow showers across southern Ohio. Low 21
Monday: Partly cloudy. High 30
A cold front has been working across the state, bringing falling temperatures and a mix of snow, rain and freezing rain. Most precipitation will be gone by late morning but could lead to some slick spots, especially on untreated roadways. Temperatures for most of the morning and afternoon will be in the upper 20s and low 30s.
An area of low pressure will track along the cold front late in the day. Snow showers will develop across southern Ohio by this evening where 2-4 inches will be possible through tonight, mainly along the Ohio River. Light snow will be possible as far north as I-70, but we’re not expecting much if any accumulation that far north. The storm system will move off to the east early Monday allowing for clearing skies. Monday’s highs will hover around 30 degrees.
A bigger storm will head our way late Tuesday into Wednesday. This storm will likely bring everything from snow, sleet and rain to the 10TV viewing area. It’s still too early to tell what type of precipitation we will see, but expect the storm to have an impact on the Wednesday morning commute. Colder air will return to central Ohio behind the system with highs dropping into upper teens and low 20s on Thursday.
