After briefly moderating temperatures this evening, an arctic cold front will arrive around midnight tonight bringing with it the coldest air so far this winter. Snow showers will develop as to cold front approaches and continue for several hours behind the front, into early Monday morning. Around 1” of snow will be possible. Temperatures will climb into the lower 30’s by late evening before falling back into the teens after midnight.
Arctic air will continue to filter into the state on Monday with clearing skies during the afternoon. Temperatures will fall to around zero by early evening with wind chill readings dropping from 15 to 30 below zero near the same time. Winds will diminish Monday night allowing for temperatures to fall well below zero. Most of central Ohio will wake up Tuesday morning with temperatures ranging from -10 to -15 degrees and wind chills as cold as -30. Temperatures will stay near or below zero through the day Tuesday despite sunny skies.
A slow moderating trend in temperatures is expected starting on Wednesday as highs back it back into the teens, with highs back in the 20’s and lower 30’s by Friday. A chance for snow showers or flurries will be possible late Thursday into Friday.

Inconvenient Weather: An arctic cold front will move into central Ohio late tonight bringing with it another round of light snow. An additional 1” of snow is expected between midnight and 6am. Gusty winds will blow and drift the snow and bring in the coldest air of the winter. Temperatures will fall into the lower teens by Monday morning, and below zero Monday evening. Wind chill readings will drop to -10 to -15 Monday morning, with readings from -20 to -30 Monday night.

Skies will clear during the afternoon but temperatures will drop into the single digits with wind chill readings falling well below zero.
