Monday:    Much cooler. Highs only in the lower 70s with afternoon scattered rain showers.

Today will be a day to stay weather alert as showers and thunderstorms move in early this afternoon. All of central Ohio is under a slight risk for severe storms, with a more serious moderate risk in place for southeastern Ohio. The cities of Lancaster and Zanesville are included in the moderate risk area. These afternoon and early evening storms could have heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail and even isolated tornadoes. We are starting the day with mostly cloudy skies and very mild temperatures in the lower 70s. By this afternoon, we start to see our next round of rain and storms move in. Rain will be on and off overnight into Monday with some way below normal temperatures. Highs will only be in the lower 70’s Monday and Tuesday and will remain on the cool side through the entire week.
Alerts:  Flash flood watches for southern Ohio through Sunday afternoon. SPC has placed all of central Ohio under a slight risk for severe storms this afternoon and evening and a moderate risk for southeastern Ohio (Lancaster & Zanesville included in this moderate risk) Threats include: damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.
Inconvenient Weather:   Severe storms are possible this afternoon and evening. Slight risk for severe weather for all of central Ohio and a more rare moderate risk for southeastern Ohio. Flash flood watches for most of southern Ohio remain in place through this afternoon so flooding could occur very quickly with this next round of storms.
