All of central Ohio is under a slight risk for severe storms, with a more serious moderate risk in place for southeastern Ohio. The cities of Lancaster and Zanesville are included in the moderate risk area. These afternoon and early evening storms could have heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail and even isolated tornadoes. We are starting the day with mostly cloudy skies and very mild temperatures in the lower 70s. By this afternoon, we start to see our next round of rain and storms move in. Rain will be on and off overnight into Monday with some way below normal temperatures. Highs will only be in the lower 70’s Monday and Tuesday and will remain on the cool side through the entire week.

SPC has placed all of central Ohio under a slight risk for severe storms this afternoon and evening and a moderate risk for southeastern Ohio (Lancaster & Zanesville included in this moderate risk) Threats include: damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes.

Flash flood watches for most of southern Ohio remain in place through this afternoon so flooding could occur very quickly with this next round of storms.
