Sheriff’s Office Questioning Man In Connection With ‘Green Glove Bandit’ Robberies

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is working to link a man arrested in connection with a west Columbus gas station robbery to the “Green Glove Bandit” robberies.

According to the sheriff’s office, Jerry J. Haywood was arrested Friday morning.

Investigators said that Haywood robbed the Speedway, located at 4797 W. Broad St., at about 1 a.m. on Monday.

Investigators were trying to link Haywood to at least 12 other west side market and gas station robberies over the past few days and weeks.

According to a release, a witness positively identified Haywood in connection with the Speedway robbery on Nov. 12.

Haywood is due in court on an aggravated robbery charge on Saturday.
