Security Firm Identifies Teen As Target Breach Suspect

A security firm believes a teenager in St. Petersburg, Russia is responsible for creating the malware used in the Target security breach.

The firm says the suspect is 17-years-old with possible ties to the Russian mob.

Experts say the first sample of the code was finished last March.

Since then, they say more than 40 versions of the malware have been sold around the world.

Cyber-security experts believe the teen may also be behind the Neiman Marcus breach.

They say other retailers may be affected leading to more breaches.

More than 70 million people were affected by the Target breach.
