Second Murder Suspect Arrested

A second murder suspect is in jail tonight accused of killing a Columbus man.

Derrick Lamont Robinson and Melanie Dawn Spears are charged with aggravated murder in the November 21st killing of Shawn Fullen.

Spears was booked into jail around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Robinson was arraigned Tuesday morning and is being held on a two million dollar bond.

The criminal complaints against 36 year old Melanie Spears and 35 year old Derrick Lamont Robinson spell out their alleged motive in targeting Shawn Fullen.

Court documents obtained by 10TV say Robinson shot and killed Fuller while robbing him of firearms, drugs, and cash.

Columbus Police say Spears was involved in the robbery and present when Fullen was killed in his apartment on Smith Road.
