Search For Second Missing Boater Continues At Buckeye Lake

Dive teams and emergency crews were called to Buckeye Lake on Friday after an overturned boat was reported around 12:30 p.m.

The capsized vessel was in the western part of the lake near Millersport.

When emergency boats arrived on the scene, one body was recovered and pulled from the water.

Another man is still missing and presumed dead.

A large area to search and shallow water is hampering the effort.

"The conditions today, given that it was windy and choppy, may have led to the boat capsizing," said Jeff Baker, Ohio Department of Natural Resources on Friday.

A canine unit joined the search Saturday, but search teams did not find the man. They suspended their efforts until 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.
