A stationary front will remain across the region and keep our weather unsettled as we head into the weekend. We’re starting to see some storms popping up in northern Kentucky and southeast Indiana. These storms will slowly lift to the north. While we can’t rule out a few stray showers or storms for the Columbus metro area, most precipitation this evening will likely stay south of I-70. Severe weather is not likely at this point. Locally heavy rainfall would be the biggest impact from any storms that develop. We’ll start to see any shower and storm activity diminish after sunset.
It looks like more showers and storms will start popping up in the morning. You’ll want to take rain gear with you just in case if you’re headed to the Komen Race for the Cure Saturday morning. It won’t be a complete washout this weekend, but scattered showers and storms will be possible both weekend days.
Inconvenient Weather: A few showers and storms will be possible this evening, mainly south of Columbus.
Planning Your Day: Look for the best chances for storms this evening south of Columbus. Scattered showers and storms will be possible again starting tomorrow morning.
