Warm and more humid air continues to move into the state which has led to plenty of clouds and occasional light showers. A few showers will be possible into the evening and tapering off overnight. Skies will stay partly to mostly cloudy overnight; however some patchy areas of fog will be possible late. Temperatures will hold in the lower to middle 60s overnight. More breaks in the clouds are expected on Sunday with temperatures pushing into the lower 80s. A pop up shower or thunderstorm will be possible, mainly during the afternoon.
The heat and humidity will continue to build as we head into next week as temperatures rise through the upper 80s Monday with highs near 90 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday. Mostly dry weather is expected Monday and Tuesday before a cold front brings a return of showers and thunderstorms midweek, followed by another cooler shot of air to end the week.
Patchy light rain or drizzle could dampen some outdoor activities this evening, although most showers should taper off after dark. As some clearing works in overnight, patchy areas of fog could form and linger into the early morning hours on Sunday. A mix of sun and clouds is expected for the second half of the weekend with a few pop-up showers possible.
Planning Your Day:
