The threat for showers and storms will continue tonight and into Thursday as a strong cold front slowly crosses central Ohio. The greatest threat for severe weather will be north and east of Columbus early this evening. As the cold front pushes through Thursday, much cooler air will begin to filter into the state by Thursday evening. Skies will clear Thursday night with temperatures falling back into the middle 50's.
Friday will start with some sunshine with clouds developing during the afternoon. There is a slight chance for an afternoon sprinkle or shower, mainly northeast of Columbus. Temperatures will be much cooler Friday with highs only in the middle to upper 60's. Overnight lows will dip into the 40's over the weekend.

Some of the storms may produce damaging winds and large hail. Showers will taper off Thursday with much cooler air arriving Thursday evening.
