Scattered showers and storms will become more numerous as we head into the evening hours. A cold front pushing into the state tonight will slowly cross the state on Tuesday. This will keep the threat for showers and storms through Tuesday afternoon. A few of the storms could produce strong, gusty winds and perhaps some small hail. Also, Locally heavy rainfall will be possible with the storms as they move through.
The rain will exit the state Tuesday evening with clearing skies and slightly cooler, less humid conditions expected Tuesday night. However the heat and humidity will return by late Wednesday with temperatures nearing 90 degrees Thursday and Friday. Another, stronger cold front will bring more showers and storms by Friday afternoon and linger into Saturday with a taste of more September-like weather arriving for next weekend.
A cold front approaching Ohio tonight will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms by late evening. A few of the storms could produce strong, gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall. Storms will continue to be possible through Tuesday afternoon before the rain moves out Tuesday evening.
