High pressure remains in control of the weather across central Ohio with just a few high clouds moving by as we head through the evening. Pleasant temperatures will remain with low humidity tonight. Overnight lows will once again fall back into the 50s. A few clouds could filter across central Ohio tonight as a cluster of storms weakens to the west of Ohio. There is a slight chance a few showers could cross into western Ohio on Sunday. As the high pressure system moves off to the east tonight, the winds will begin to turn out of the south which will slowly pump up more heat and humidity over the next few days. Temperatures will rise into the middle 80s Sunday and into the upper 80s to near 90 by Monday. Pop up thunderstorms will be possible across far western Ohio as early as late Sunday and statewide on Monday. A cold front will push into the state on Tuesday bringing with it more widespread showers and storms. A few storms on Tuesday could be strong or severe with large hail and damaging winds.
The heat and humidity will be on the increase over the next couple of days. This will increase the threat for showers and thunderstorms with the best chances arriving Monday into Tuesday. The Storm Prediction Center has a low risk for severe storms on Monday. By Tuesday, a cold front crossing into central Ohio could bring an increased risk for severe weather.
Planning Your Day:
