COLUMBUS - Columbus Police say 2 men fought back after a man pulled a gun on them downtown.

It happened just after 3 Saturday morning on South Third Street.

Authorities say the two men asked Marlon Humphreys and his fiancée walking on the street for directions. Humphreys gave them directions and then followed them.

Officers say Humphreys pulled out a gun and demanded money.

When one of the victims said he didn't have a wallet, Humphreys shot him in the leg and hit him with the gun.

During the attack, the men were both able to shove Humphreys down knocking him unconscious until police arrived.
