Robbers Attack Bartender With Baseball Bat

Detectives were working to find two people responsible for a violent attack Monday morning.

Two masked people, one armed with a baseball bat and the other a gun, entered the Fairweather Café, located in the 3700 block of Trabue Road, around 4 a.m.

The robbers assaulted the bartender with the bat before taking alcohol and cash. Detectives believed the pair escaped into a nearby wooded area.

Investigators were working to learn if surveillance footage was recorded at the time of the attack. The victim, whose identity was not released, was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, and did not appear to be seriously injured.
