Columbus mayor Michael Coleman honored 34 bars and restaurants on High Street Wednesday night.

The bars and restaurants all participate in a recycling pilot program, "Recylcing on High."

Restaurants receive free carts, promotional materials, and hauling three times a week.

The goal of the pilot is to find solutions to the unique needs of businesses attempting to recycle in traditionally challenging areas.  L

It was part of the city's "GreenSpotLight" awards, honoring people helping make the city more environmentally friendly.

Seven thousand businesses, and even schools participate in the "GreenSpot" initiative.
