The Ohio Public Interest Research Group is warning parents about some potentially dangerous toys.

The organization says it has found a number of toys that they consider hazardous to children. The toys either pose a choking threat or contain dangerous chemicals.

“When our researchers went out looking for potentially unsafe toys this fall, once again, we found dangerous products that could harm or poison a child,” said Bryan Stewart, PIRG.

The toys mentioned in the list include the Ninja Turtle Pencil Case, which PIRG says contains a high level of dangerous chemicals. The group also suggested avoiding a magnetic toy called “The Sizzler” which they say is a choking threat.

PIRG urged parents to do their homework before purchasing toys.

The entire 2013 report is available at the U.S. PIRG website.
